1. Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.

- Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea: Acts 11:29

- Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. Rom. 12:13

- Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do. Gal. 2:10

2. Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

- For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land. Deut. 15:11

- And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. Acts 20:7

- For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. 2 Cor. 8:12

3. And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.

- And there accompanied him into Asia Sopater of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timotheus; and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus. Acts 20:4

- But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power. 1 Cor. 4:19

- Whether any do enquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren be enquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ. 2 Cor. 8:23

4. And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.

- But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints. Rom. 15:25

- Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. 2 Cor. 8:4

- And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind: 2 Cor. 8:19

5. Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia.

- After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome. Acts 19:21

- And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into Macedonia. Acts 20:1

- And in this confidence I was minded to come unto you before, that ye might have a second benefit; 2 Cor. 1:15

6. And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go.

- And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren. Acts 15:3

- Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company. Rom. 15:24

- And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia unto you, and of you to be brought on my way toward Judaea. 2 Cor. 1:16

7. For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit.

- But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus. Acts 18:21

- And this will we do, if God permit. Heb. 6:3

- For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. James 4:15

8. But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.

- And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labors, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labors out of the field. Ex. 23:16

- And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. Acts 2:1

- And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, Acts 19:1

9. For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

- And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks. Acts 19:10

- Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord, 2 Cor. 2:12

- Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: Col. 4:3

10. Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.

- For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church. 1 Cor. 4:17

- But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. Phil. 2:19

- Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 1 Tim. 4:12

11. Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.

- And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles. Acts 15:33

- Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them. Titus 3:13

12. As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.

- And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus. Acts 18:24

- Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 1 Cor. 1:12

- Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? 1 Cor. 3:5

13. Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

- Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. Matt. 25:13

- Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 1 Thess. 5:6

- Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. 2 Thess. 2:15

14. Let all your things be done with charity.

- Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. Rom. 13:8

- With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Eph. 4:2

- And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Heb. 10:24

15. I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)

- Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. Rom. 12:13

- Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my well-beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ. Rom. 16:5

- And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. 1 Cor. 1:16

16. That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.

- And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; 1 Thess. 5:12

- Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. 1 Tim. 5:17

- Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. Heb. 13:17

17. I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.

- Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. 1 Cor. 7:1

- And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself. 2 Cor. 11:9

- Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel: Philem. 1:13

18. For they have refreshed my spirit and your's: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.

- That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed. Rom. 15:32

- Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all. 2 Cor. 7:13

- And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; 1 Thess. 5:12

19. The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.

- And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them. Acts 18:2

- And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly. Acts 18:26

- Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my well-beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ. Rom. 16:5

20. All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss.

- Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you. Rom. 16:16

- Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss. 1 Thess. 5:26

- Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen. 1 Pet. 5:14

21. The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand.

- Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand. Gal. 6:11

- The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen. Col. 4:18

- The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write. 2 Thess. 3:17

22. If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

- He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. John 14:21

- But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Gal. 1:8

- Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Phil. 4:5

23. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

- The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Rom. 16:24

- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. 2 Cor. 13:14

- The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Phil. 4:23

24. My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.

- Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matt. 28:20

- I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you. 1 Cor. 4:14

- For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ. Phil. 1:8
