↥ 2 Cor. 13NT with xrefs 1. This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. - One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established. Deut. 19:15 - But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. Matt. 18:16 - Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not your's but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children. 2 Cor. 12:14 2. I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare: - But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power. 1 Cor. 4:19 - What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness? 1 Cor. 4:21 - Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth. 2 Cor. 1:23 3. Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you. - For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. Matt. 10:20 - Mine answer to them that do examine me is this, 1 Cor. 9:3 - Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds. 2 Cor. 12:12 4. For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you. - And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Phil. 2:8 - That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; Phil. 3:10 - For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 1 Pet. 3:18 5. Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? - Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: Ps. 139:23 - And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Rom. 8:10 - But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 1 Cor. 11:28 6. But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates. - Salute Apelles approved in Christ. Salute them which are of Aristobulus' household. Rom. 16:10 - Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 1 Cor. 3:13 - For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things. 2 Cor. 2:9 7. Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates. - And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. 1 Chron. 4:10 - And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Matt. 6:13 - I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. John 17:15 8. For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. - He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. Matt. 12:30 - Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17:17 - For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Rom. 1:18 9. For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection. - We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. 1 Cor. 4:10 - So then death worketh in us, but life in you. 2 Cor. 4:12 - Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Cor. 7:1 10. Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction. - What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness? 1 Cor. 4:21 - For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed: 2 Cor. 10:8 - This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Titus 1:13 11. Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. - Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen. Rom. 15:33 - Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 1 Cor. 1:10 - Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
