Acts 15:32 - Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek: Acts 16:1 - Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thess. 1:1 2. Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. - To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. Rom. 1:7 - Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor. 1:3 - Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Gal. 1:3 3. We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth; - And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. Luke 17:5 - We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; 1 Thess. 1:2 - I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 1 Tim. 2:1 4. So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: - Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation. 2 Cor. 7:4 - For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many. 2 Cor. 9:2 - For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: - Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Matt. 5:11 - Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Acts 14:22 - If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 1 Pet. 4:14 6. Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; - And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the LORD. Jer. 51:24 - For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, - There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. Heb. 4:9 - But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 1 Pet. 4:13 - And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. Rev. 14:13 8. In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: - For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many. Isa. 66:16 - But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Rom. 2:8 - But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 2 Pet. 3:7 9. Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; - And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. Isa. 2:19 - And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matt. 7:23 - Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Matt. 25:41 10. When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. - And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified. Isa. 49:3 - And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. John 17:10 - When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Col. 3:4 11. Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: - For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Phil. 2:13 - That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. 1 Thess. 2:12 - Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Heb. 13:21 12. That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. - For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.
