Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: - Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. Matt. 9:38 - Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; Rom. 15:30 - And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, Eph. 6:19 2. And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. - And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean; from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles. Acts 18:6 - But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? Rom. 10:16 - That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints; Rom. 15:31 3. But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. - And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Matt. 6:13 - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Cor. 10:13 - Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. 1 Thess. 5:24 4. And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you. - And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all. 2 Cor. 2:3 - I rejoice therefore that I have confidence in you in all things. 2 Cor. 7:16 - Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. - And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. Deut. 30:6 - Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; 1 Thess. 1:3 - Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; 1 Pet. 4:1 6. Rom. 16:17 - But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 1 Cor. 5:11 - A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; Titus 3:10 7. For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; - Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. 1 Cor. 11:1 - Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe: 1 Thess. 2:10 - Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. Heb. 13:7 8. Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: - Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me. Acts 20:34 - And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself. 2 Cor. 11:9 - For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God. 1 Thess. 2:9 9. Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us. - Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me. 1 Cor. 4:16 - Have we not power to eat and to drink? 1 Cor. 9:4 - Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. Phil. 3:17 10. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. - In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. Gen. 3:19 - He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding. Prov. 12:11 - The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat. Prov. 13:4 11. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. - For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it. 1 Cor. 11:18 - And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. 1 Tim. 5:13 - But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. 1 Pet. 4:15 12. Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. - Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Eph. 4:28 - And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; 1 Thess. 4:11 - For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 1 Tim. 2:2 13. But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. - But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isa. 40:31 - And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Luke 18:1 - And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Gal. 6:9 14. And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. - And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. - Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbor, and not suffer sin upon him. Lev. 19:17 - Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. Matt. 18:15 - Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Gal. 6:1 16. Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. - Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen. Rom. 15:33 - Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. 2 Cor. 13:11 - Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Phil. 4:9 17. The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write. - Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand. Gal. 6:11 - The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen. Col. 4:18 - That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 2 Thess. 2:2 18. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. - And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
