Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. - Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. Ps. 55:17 - Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. Dan. 6:10 - And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing, Acts 10:30 2. And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; - And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. John 9:1 - For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed. Ps. 103:1 - Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. Isa. 35:6 - Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. Acts 14:10 9. And all the people saw him walking and praising God: - And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion. Mark 2:12 - Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it. Luke 4:36 - And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples, Luke 9:43 - The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? John 9:8 11. And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering. - Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying, Luke 8:38 - And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch. John 10:23 - And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch. Acts 5:12 12. And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? - Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god. Hab. 1:11 - But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man. Acts 10:26 - And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein: Acts 14:15 13. The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. - Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. Ex. 3:6 - And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. John 17:5 - And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar. But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; - But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. Matt. 27:20 - And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection. Mark 15:7 - Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber. John 18:40 15. And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. - In him was life; and the life was the light of men. John 1:4 - Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. And the woman was made whole from that hour. Matt. 9:22 - And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; Mark 16:17 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. John 14:12 17. And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers. - Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. Luke 23:34 - And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. John 16:3 - Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 1 Cor. 2:8 18. But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled. - Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? Luke 24:26 - And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Luke 24:44 - Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: 1 Pet. 1:10 19. Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. - Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Ps. 51:9 - I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee. Isa. 44:22 - From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matt. 4:17 20. And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: - For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Matt. 16:27 - But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: John 15:26 - Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38 21. Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. - And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city. Isa. 1:26 - The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. Isa. 11:6 - Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Acts 1:11 22. For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. - The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; Deut. 18:15 - Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. Isa. 55:3 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24 23. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. - For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. Lev. 23:29 - And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. Deut. 18:19 - He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Mark 16:16 24. Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. - And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision. 1 Sam. 3:1 - And all Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the LORD. 1 Sam. 3:20 - And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons. 1 Sam. 16:1 25. Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. - And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Gen. 12:3 - And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; Gen. 26:4 - And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. Gen. 28:14 26. Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. - And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth. Isa. 49:6 - But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8 - Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
