For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, - (For they had seen before with him in the city Trophimus an Ephesian, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.) Acts 21:29 - And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him. Acts 28:16 - I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, Eph. 4:1 2. If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: - And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Luke 12:42 - Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 1 Cor. 4:1 - But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; Gal. 2:7 3. Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; - For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. Matt. 13:17 - Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: Col. 1:26 - For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2 Pet. 1:21 6. That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: - When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life. Acts 11:18 - That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Gal. 3:14 - Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; Eph. 2:15 7. Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. - And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Eph. 1:19 - Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Eph. 3:20 - Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; Col. 1:25 8. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; - O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! Rom. 11:33 - For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 1 Cor. 15:9 - That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; Col. 2:2 9. And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: - Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, Rom. 16:25 - But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 1 Cor. 2:7 - Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: Col. 1:26 10. To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, - Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. Luke 15:10 - For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. 1 Cor. 4:9 - Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. 1 Pet. 1:12 11. According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: - The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: Isa. 14:24 - In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: Eph. 1:11 - Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 2 Tim. 1:9 12. In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 - By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Rom. 5:2 - Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, Heb. 10:19 13. Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. - For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 2 Cor. 4:16 - And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. Phil. 1:14 - Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: Col. 1:24 14. For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, - O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. Ps. 95:6 - And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Luke 22:41 - And when we had accomplished those days, we departed and went our way; and they all brought us on our way, with wives and children, till we were out of the city: and we kneeled down on the shore, and prayed. Acts 21:5 15. Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, - And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name: Isa. 65:15 - He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. Rev. 2:17 - Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. Rev. 3:12 16. That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; - And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel. Luke 1:80 - For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: Rom. 7:22 - For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 2 Cor. 4:16 17. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, - Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. John 14:23 - I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Gal. 2:20 - Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Rev. 3:20 18. May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; - It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? Job 11:8 - For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isa. 55:9 - Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom. 8:39 19. And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. - But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 1 Cor. 1:30 - But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Cor. 3:18 - In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Col. 2:3 20. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, - He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Rom. 8:32 - And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 2 Cor. 9:8 - But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:19 21. Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. - And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. Isa. 6:3 - To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen. Rom. 16:27 - Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Rev. 4:11 |
