Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. - And that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padanaram; Gen. 28:7 - And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; - Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Ex. 20:12 - Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen. Deut. 27:16 - But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; Matt. 15:5 3. Luke 6:35 - For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 2 Cor. 5:10 9. And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him. - Thou shalt not rule over him with rigor; but shalt fear thy God. Lev. 25:43 - For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: Deut. 10:17 - Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven. Col. 4:1 10. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. - But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isa. 40:31 - And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD. Zech. 10:12 - Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 Tim. 2:1 11. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. - The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Rom. 13:12 - By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, 2 Cor. 6:7 - But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 1 Thess. 5:8 12. Rev. 3:10 14. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; - And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins. Isa. 11:5 - For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak. Isa. 59:17 - Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 1 Pet. 1:13 15. And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; - How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! Isa. 52:7 - The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments. Hab. 3:19 - And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! Rom. 10:15 16. Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. - After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. Gen. 15:1 - Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Prov. 30:5 - Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 1 Pet. 5:9 17. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: - For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak. Isa. 59:17 - For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Heb. 4:12 - And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. Rev. 1:16 18. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; - Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. Mark 13:33 - But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts. - Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus; 2 Cor. 7:6 - And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith: 1 Thess. 3:2 - Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work. 2 Thess. 2:17 23. Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. - Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 - Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor. 1:3 - For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. Gal. 5:6 24. Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. - So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these?
