The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. - And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre. Matt. 27:61 - And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. Matt. 28:2 - And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. Mark 16:1 2. Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the LORD out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. - Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. Matt. 27:64 - Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved. John 13:23 - And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? Luke 22:32 - Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. John 6:68 - Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. John 21:7 7. And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. - And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, Matt. 27:59 - And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. Mark 16:9 - But their eyes were holden that they should not know him. Luke 24:16 - But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. John 21:4 15. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the LORD, and that he had spoken these things unto her. - And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not. Mark 16:11 - It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles. Luke 24:10 - The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. John 20:25 19. Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. - Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews. John 7:13 - Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 - And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 1 Cor. 15:5 20. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the LORD. - But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. Luke 24:37 - Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. Luke 24:39 - And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. John 16:22 21. John 11:16 - There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. John 21:2 25. And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. - For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee. Isa. 54:10 - Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God. - Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. Matt. 14:33 - Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel. John 1:49 - Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master. John 20:16 29. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. - (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 2 Cor. 5:7 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Heb. 11:1 - Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 1 Pet. 1:8 30. And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: - And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people: Luke 24:19 - Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles. John 11:47 - And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. John 21:25 31. But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. - Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12 - To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
