1. In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

- And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: Matt. 5:1

- Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. Matt. 16:12

- And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod. Mark 8:15

2. For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

- For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. Mark 4:22

- In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. Rom. 2:16

- Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God. 1 Cor. 4:5

3. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

- Curse not the king, no not in thy thought; and curse not the rich in thy bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which hath wings shall tell the matter. Eccles. 10:20

- But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. Matt. 12:36

- For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Matt. 12:37

4. And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

- In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. Ps. 56:11

- I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; Isa. 51:12

- But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; 1 Pet. 3:14

5. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

- There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? James 4:12

- Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. Rev. 14:7

- And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Rev. 20:15

6. Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

- The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season. Ps. 145:15

- I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. Ps. 50:11

- Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? Luke 12:24

7. But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

- Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. Isa. 43:4

- But there shall not an hair of your head perish. Luke 21:18

- Wherefore I pray you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you. Acts 27:34

8. Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

- Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honor me I will honor, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. 1 Sam. 2:30

- That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Rom. 10:9

- He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Rev. 3:5

9. But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

- For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Matt. 12:37

- For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels. Luke 9:26

- If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 2 Tim. 2:12

10. And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

- Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 1 Tim. 1:13

- Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? Heb. 10:29

- If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 1 John 5:16

11. And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

- But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. Luke 21:12

- Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: Luke 21:14

- Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. Acts 4:13

12. For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

- And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? Ex. 4:11

- For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. Luke 21:15

- And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake. Acts 6:10

13. And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.

- But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his. Deut. 21:17

- And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. Luke 15:12

- I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? 1 Cor. 6:5

14. And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?

- And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known. Ex. 2:14

- When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone. John 6:15

- And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. John 12:47

15. And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

- For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Luke 12:34

- But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 1 Tim. 6:9

- For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Tim. 6:10

16. And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:

- Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. Gen. 26:12

- And in the seven plenteous years the earth brought forth by handfuls. Gen. 41:47

- And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Luke 8:8

17. And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?

- And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. Luke 8:14

- And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. Luke 12:22

- Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. Luke 16:3

18. And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.

- And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same. Gen. 41:48

- And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the LORD must be exceeding magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death. 1 Chron. 22:5

- For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. James 4:15

19. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

- And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for to morrow we shall die. Isa. 22:13

- Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 1 Tim. 6:17

- How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Rev. 18:7

20. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

- Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them. Ps. 39:6

- For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him. Ps. 49:17

- As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand. Eccles. 5:15

21. So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

- Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. Luke 12:33

- That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; 1 Tim. 6:18

- Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? James 2:5

22. And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.

- Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Ps. 55:22

- But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: 1 Cor. 7:32

- Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Phil. 4:6

23. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.

- And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. Job 2:4

- The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke. Prov. 13:8

- Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, Phil. 3:8

24. Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?

- Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat. Job 38:41

- He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry. Ps. 147:9

- Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. Matt. 10:31

25. And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?

- The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Ps. 90:10

- A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; Eccles. 3:2

- Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. Matt. 5:36

26. If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?

- Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked? Eccles. 7:13

- John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. John 3:27

- Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Pet. 5:7

27. Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

- And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her. 1 Kings 10:5

- And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armor, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year. 1 Kings 10:25

- As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. Ps. 103:15

28. If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?

- The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. Isa. 40:8

- And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. Matt. 8:26

- It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep. Ps. 127:2

- Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Matt. 6:8

- This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Eph. 4:17

31. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

- And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honor: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days. 1 Kings 3:13

- O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. Ps. 34:9

- He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Rom. 8:32

32. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

- Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. Isa. 41:14

- Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: Matt. 25:34

- That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Luke 22:30

33. Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

- Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. Luke 18:22

- And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. Acts 2:45

- Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. 1 Tim. 6:19

34. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

- Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Prov. 4:23

- For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Phil. 3:20

- Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Col. 3:2

35. Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;

- And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD's passover. Ex. 12:11

- Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; Eph. 6:14

- Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 1 Pet. 1:13

36. And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

- And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Matt. 25:10

- Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Mark 13:35

- Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Rev. 3:20

37. Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

- His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Matt. 25:21

- But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? Luke 17:7

- After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. John 13:5

38. And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

- And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Matt. 25:6

- Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Mark 13:35

- But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 1 Thess. 5:4

39. And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.

- For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 1 Thess. 5:2

- But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Pet. 3:10

- Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. Rev. 3:3

40. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

- And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. Luke 21:34

- For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 1 Thess. 5:3

- Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. Rev. 16:15

41. Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?

- Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable. Matt. 15:15

- And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. Mark 13:37

- Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? John 21:21

42. And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?

- Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 1 Cor. 4:1

- Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. 1 Cor. 4:2

- But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. 1 Tim. 3:15

43. Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

- His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Matt. 25:21

- Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. Luke 12:37

- Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 2 Cor. 5:9

44. Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.

- And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. Dan. 12:3

- And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. Luke 19:17

- That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Luke 22:30

45. But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

- The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them. Ezek. 34:4

- And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. Luke 21:34

- Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) Phil. 3:19

46. The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

- This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God. Job 20:29

- For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 1 Thess. 5:3

47. And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

- Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem vile unto thee. Deut. 25:3

- If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 1 Cor. 3:15

- Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. James 4:17

48. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

- And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity. Lev. 5:17

- For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; Rom. 2:12

- My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. James 3:1

49. I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?

- I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Matt. 3:11

- Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. Matt. 3:12

- And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? Luke 9:54

50. But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!

- And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch. Mark 14:34

- And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. Luke 22:44

- Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. John 12:27

51. Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

53. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

55. And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.

- How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind? Job 37:17

- He caused an east wind to blow in the heaven: and by his power he brought in the south wind. Ps. 78:26

- And when the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, loosing thence, they sailed close by Crete. Acts 27:13

56. Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

- And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment. 1 Chron. 12:32

- And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. Dan. 9:26

- Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. Luke 19:42

57. Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

- O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end! Deut. 32:29

- But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. Acts 4:19

- Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? 1 Cor. 11:14

58. When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.

- Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee. Job 22:21

- Go not forth hastily to strive, lest thou know not what to do in the end thereof, when thy neighbour hath put thee to shame. Prov. 25:8

- Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace. Luke 14:32

59. I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.

- And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. Matt. 18:30

- And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. Matt. 18:34

- And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. Mark 12:42
