John 11:7 2. And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him. - For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously. Mal. 2:16 - It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: Matt. 5:31 - This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. John 8:6 3. Ps. 52:7 - God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God. Ps. 62:11 - He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch. Prov. 11:28 25. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. - Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil. Jer. 13:23 - And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Matt. 7:3 - Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Matt. 23:24 26. And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? - And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
