1. And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.

- And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue: Matt. 12:9

- And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered. Luke 6:6

2. And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.

- And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. Luke 6:7

- And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him. Luke 14:1

- And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor. Luke 20:20

3. And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.

- But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth. Luke 6:8

- I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. John 9:4

- Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 2 Tim. 4:2

4. And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

- For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. Hos. 6:6

- And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him. Matt. 12:10

- And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Mark 2:27

5. And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

- And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other. Luke 6:10

- For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. Rom. 11:25

- Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Eph. 4:18

6. And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

- Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him. Matt. 12:14

- And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men. Matt. 22:16

- And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words. Mark 12:13

7. But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,

- And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan. Matt. 4:25

- But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all; Matt. 12:15

- And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; Luke 6:17

8. And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.

- As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD. Ezek. 35:15

- Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. Matt. 11:21

- And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. Matt. 15:22

9. And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.

- Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. Mark 1:16

- When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone. John 6:15

- Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. John 8:59

10. For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.

- And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole. Matt. 14:36

- When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. Mark 5:27

- And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole. Mark 6:56

11. And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.

- And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Matt. 4:3

- And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him. Mark 1:34

- Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. James 2:19

12. And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.

- And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. Matt. 8:4

- And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it. Matt. 9:30

- And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. Mark 1:25

13. And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.

- And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: Matt. 5:1

- And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Matt. 10:1

- And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; Mark 6:7

14. And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,

- After these things the LORD appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Luke 10:1

- And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Luke 24:47

- Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:16

15. And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:

- And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; Mark 16:17

- Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. Luke 9:1

- And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour. Acts 16:18

16. And Simon he surnamed Peter;

- And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. Matt. 16:17

- And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Matt. 16:18

- And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone. John 1:42

17. And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:

- And when he had gone a little farther thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets. Mark 1:19

- And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. Mark 9:2

- And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? Luke 9:54

18. And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,

- And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him. Matt. 9:9

- And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him. Mark 2:14

- And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. Acts 1:13

19. And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.

- Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, Matt. 26:14

- And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people. Matt. 26:47

- Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Matt. 27:3

20. And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

- And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house. Mark 2:1

- And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him. Mark 3:9

- And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. Mark 6:31

21. And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.

- There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him. Mark 3:31

- And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him? John 10:20

- And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad. Acts 26:24

22. And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

- But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils. Matt. 9:34

- It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? Matt. 10:25

- But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. Matt. 12:24

23. And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?

- Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Matt. 4:10

- All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: Matt. 13:34

- Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. John 12:31

24. And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

- Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech: Judg. 9:23

- And the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said unto Jephthah, Wherefore passedst thou over to fight against the children of Ammon, and didst not call us to go with thee? we will burn thine house upon thee with fire. Judg. 12:1

- And there happened to be there a man of Belial, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew a trumpet, and said, We have no part in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to his tents, O Israel. 2 Sam. 20:1

25. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

- And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land. Gen. 13:7

- And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him. Gen. 37:4

- Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Ps. 133:1

26. And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.

- Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Matt. 4:10

- Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. John 12:31

- Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. John 14:30

27. No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.

- And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Gen. 3:15

- But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. Isa. 49:25

- And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Col. 2:15

28. Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

- Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. Matt. 12:31

- And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven. Luke 12:10

- If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 1 John 5:16

29. But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.

- Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 1 Cor. 12:3

- If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. Heb. 6:6

- For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, Heb. 10:26

30. Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

- And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. Mark 3:22

- Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil? John 8:48

- And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him? John 10:20

31. There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.

- While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Matt. 12:46

- Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? Matt. 13:55

- For neither did his brethren believe in him. John 7:5

32. And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.

- And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself. Mark 3:21

- And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. Luke 2:48

- Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press. Luke 8:19

33. And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?

- Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant. Deut. 33:9

- Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. Mark 6:3

- For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Heb. 2:11

34. And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

- I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. Ps. 22:22

- And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Matt. 25:40

- But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. Luke 11:28

35. For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

- Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Matt. 7:21

- Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. John 15:14

- For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Heb. 2:11
