1. Judge not, that ye be not judged.

- Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Luke 6:37

- Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. Rom. 2:1

- Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. James 4:11

2. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

- And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. Mark 4:24

- Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38

- Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Gal. 6:7

3. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

- And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die: 2 Sam. 12:5

- So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. John 8:7

- Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Gal. 6:1

4. Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

- The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. Luke 18:11

- Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? Rom. 2:21

- I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. Rev. 3:18

5. Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

- Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. Ps. 51:13

- But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? Matt. 22:18

- But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. Matt. 23:13

6. Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

- There shall no stranger eat of the holy thing: a sojourner of the priest, or an hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing. Lev. 22:10

- He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot. Prov. 9:7

- Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words. Prov. 23:9

7. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

- Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24

- If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7

- And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1 John 3:22

8. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

- I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. Ps. 81:10

- I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Prov. 8:17

- And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Jer. 29:13

9. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

- The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven. Ps. 105:40

- Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Isa. 49:15

- Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? Luke 11:12

10. Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

- And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: Gen. 3:14

- Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination. Lev. 11:42

- Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19

11. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

- And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Gen. 6:5

- For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Ps. 84:11

- If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Luke 11:13

12. Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

- Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am the LORD. Lev. 19:18

- Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. Rom. 13:8

- For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Gal. 5:14

13. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

- There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Prov. 16:25

- Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isa. 55:7

- I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. John 10:9

14. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

- And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Matt. 19:24

- Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Acts 14:22

- And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. 2 Thess. 3:2

15. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

- Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart. Jer. 14:14

- Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Col. 2:8

- Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

16. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

- Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. Matt. 12:33

- Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. James 3:12

- In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 1 John 3:10

17. Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

- And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Ps. 1:3

- Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. Ps. 92:13

- These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; Jude 1:12

18. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

- O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. Matt. 12:34

- Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1 John 3:9

19. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

- And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Matt. 3:10

- If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. John 15:6

- But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. Heb. 6:8

20. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

- Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right. Prov. 20:11

- Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. Matt. 12:33

- And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: Acts 5:38

21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

- Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. Matt. 25:11

- (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. Rom. 2:13

- But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. James 1:22

22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

- Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Matt. 25:44

- Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the LORD Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. Acts 19:13

- And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 1 Cor. 13:2

23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

- Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping. Ps. 6:8

- Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Matt. 25:41

- But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. Luke 13:27

24. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

- But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. Luke 11:28

- If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15

- For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Cor. 3:11

25. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

- They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. Ps. 125:1

- Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 1 Cor. 3:13

- Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. James 1:12

26. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

- Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honor me I will honor, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. 1 Sam. 2:30

- Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands. Prov. 14:1

- The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them? Jer. 8:9

27. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

- And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall. Isa. 30:25

- When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Matt. 12:43

- Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. Matt. 13:21

28. And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

- And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes. Mark 1:22

- And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Mark 6:2

- And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power. Luke 4:32

29. For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

- I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. Deut. 18:18

- Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou? Eccles. 8:4

- The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned. Isa. 50:4
