1. And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

- As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake. Ezek. 1:28

- And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. Matt. 17:2

- And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. Rev. 1:15

2. And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,

- And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein; Ezek. 2:9

- And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. Rev. 5:1

- And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, Rev. 10:5

3. And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.

- They shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west. Hos. 11:10

- And he said, The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither. Amos 1:2

- And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. Rev. 8:5

4. And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.

- But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Dan. 12:4

- And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Dan. 12:9

- And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. Rev. 22:10

5. And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,

- And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth, Gen. 14:22

- For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever. Deut. 32:40

- And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. Dan. 12:7

6. And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

- Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever: Ps. 146:6

- Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Rev. 4:11

- And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. Rev. 16:17

7. But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

- Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. Amos 3:7

- And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Luke 24:44

- Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. Acts 3:21

8. And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.

9. And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

- Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. Jer. 15:16

- But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee. Ezek. 2:8

- Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel. Ezek. 3:1

10. And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

- My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD. Ps. 104:34

- How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Ps. 119:103

- More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Ps. 19:10

11. And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

- For thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it. Jer. 25:15

- Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Ezek. 37:4

- And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Rev. 14:6
